Preprints of book chapters

A few years ago, I was offered the opportunity to edit a book, named “Biodiversity and Evolution of Fungal Parasites and Pathogens” (Elsevier). This project has taken up countless hours writing to people, reminding authors and reviewers of deadlines, and revising many, many pages of text but I am quite happy with how some of the content is starting to look. The book will be published some time in 2026 so I am trying to finalize the editing process of as many chapters as possible at this time. A number of them have already been released as preprints, which I am sharing below as a collection.

This is a very interesting and timely project, Danny. The focus on the biodiversity and evolution of pathogenic and parasitic fungi is both relevant and much needed. Congratulations on your remarkable editorial work and for assembling such a valuable collection of chapters.
